We are within easy striking distance of the city centre by foot or by bus and have some fantastic eateries drinking holes and shops at our doorstep.

Morningside landmarks include the Morningside Clock originally in the middle of the roadway as the clock for Morningside Station (part of the suburban railway line); the elaborately decorated Canny Man's pub (formerly The Volunteer's Arms) on the corner of Canaan Lane; and the Bore Stane an ancient monument adjacent to the former Parish Church. Based in the south-west of Edinburgh 5A Balcarres St is a few minutes walk from the fashionable area of Bruntsfield which is home to boutique shopping and a myriad of independent eateries. We are set in one of the private broad tree-lined avenues housing Victorian townhouses Georgian Mansions and Edwardian villas set within large gardens. The city centre is approximately a 25 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride away.
From centre of town get off the bus at Holy Corner (the stop after Bruntsfield and junction of Morningside Bus Numbers: No's 11 15 15A & 16 run every few minutes via Princes Street Lothian Road Tollcross and Bruntsfield. No. 23 runs every 20 minutes via Hanover Street The Mound Tollcross and Bruntsfield. No. 45 runs every 30 mins via Hanover Street The Mound Tollcross and Bruntsfield;Edinburgh Airport
